As a volunteer, you will be asked to commit to at least a year’s service
(normally one four and one half hour shift weekly), be responsible for recording
your hours, report promptly for your shift, notify either your supervisor or the
Volunteer Resources Office of your absence, attend required classes, follow the
volunteer dress code and pay for you uniform.
The benefits of your volunteer service include learning opportunities, work
experience, social and professional contact with interesting people, a membership
to the aquarium for 100 hours of service (renewable each year), and the
opportunity to serve your community and help to preserve the environment.
